What a difference a day makes 

This year's Day of Caring was a huge success thanks to more than 250 volunteers from 43 companies and organizations.  Day of Caring also boasted several individuals, retirees, and families that volunteered for projects.  These volunteers donated their time, a multitude of supplies, and an abundance of caring power to complete 69 projects.  In addition, 15 companies held Casual Day by purchased 1,500 Day of Caring shirts to show their support for this special day.  The dollar value of their work and supplies is estimated at more than $50,000.  But the value of building a community goes beyond monetary measure.

Thanks a million to all the volunteers who gave so generously of their time and talents.  Thank you to all the companies, business and organizations that participated in Casual Day by allowing their employees to wear Day of Caring shirts at work.  Day of Caring reinforces that the power of LIVING UNITED is greater than the power achieved by any of us working alone.
